Police post of Sarwal acting swiftly and proactively over a written complaint was lodged by Shudhama Sharma S/o Inder Dass Sharma R/o H.No. 230, New Plot, Jammu, regarding the one person entered in his house threatened his son with toka and snatched 175 G of Gold Jewellery and Two Lakh Rupees Cash, having total worth Rs 20 lakh ,recovered the stolen items within 24 hours.
On receiving the complaint case FIR No. 17/2025 U/S 332(c)/ 308(5)/351(2) BNS was registered in PS Bakshi Nagar Jammu and investigation was started.
A special team was constituted by SDPO City West to trace out accused, led by by I/C PP Sarwal under the close supervision of SHO P/S Bakshi Nagar. The team working persistently did strenuous efforts and with the help of various CCTV footages of the area finally arrested the accused namely Rahul Sharma S/o Kewal Krishan R/o Ratnal, Bishnah, Jammu.
During interrogation and further disclosure of the accused , Gold Jewellery of 160 Grams, 200 grams Silver, Cash of 1.70 Lakh, having total worth of Rs 20 lakh was recovered. Police also recovered one Toka from accused which was used by the accused to threaten the child to extort all the said items.
