Anantnag, Feb 28: The mother of Zaffar Farooq Salati, Congress District President Anantnag, and wife of the late Ghulam Mohiuddin Salati, Majida Nambla Begum, passed away today at her residence in Anchidora, Lazibal, Anantnag.
The family has announced that Fateh Khawani (prayer gathering) will be held on March 3, 2025 (Monday).
Majida Nambla Begum was known for her pious nature and dedication to helping those in need. She was a kind-hearted woman who earned deep respect in the community through her generosity and selfless service.
Her passing has been widely condoled by political and social figures. Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hameed Karra expressed profound grief over the loss and extended his heartfelt condolences to Zaffar Farooq Salati and his family. In his message, Karra prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
AICC General Secretary G.A. Mir also expressed sorrow, stating, “It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Majida Nambla Begum. My heartfelt condolences go out to the Salati family during this difficult time. May her soul rest in peace.”
Senior leader Abdul Rahim Rather also extended his condolences, describing Nambla Begum as a “pious and kind-hearted woman whose loss is truly irreparable.” He prayed for Almighty Allah to grant her a place in Jannah and give the bereaved family the strength to bear this great loss.
