On 22 March 2025, Police Station Pampore received a complaint from Parvaiz Ahmad Wani S/o Mukhtar Ahmad wani R/O Qazigund Kakapora stated therein that during intervening night of 20/21-03-2025 some unknown burglars have stolen JCB Execavator bearing Registration number JK18A-1871 parked at patrol pump Kadlabal Pampore.
Accordingly, a Case vide FIR No.35/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Pampore and investigation set into motion.
During the course of investigation, a police team headed by SHO PS Pampore Inspector Naieem Rashid under the supervision of SDPO Pampore Ravenderpal Singh, raided multiple places and based on certain tangible clues, officers zeroed in on a suspect identified as Mehraj -Din Thokar S/o Abdul Rahim Thokar R/o KhaiTangan Baramulla.
Upon questioning, the accused accepted his involvement in the said crime and after strenuous efforts made by police team the said JCB was recovered from District Baramulla and the accused Meheraj Din has been arrested and shifted to police station where remain in custody.
The stolen property will be handed over their rightful owners after completion of legal formalities.
Police will be robustly dealing with such anti social elements as per the law so as to keep area free from such crimes. Further investigations is going on.
