Police attaches property worth lakhs of proclaimed offenders in Sopore

Sopore, March 08: Police in Sopore have attached 6 kanals and 19 marlas of orchard land belonging to two proclaimed offenders namely Irshad Ahmad Reshi son of Ali Mohammad Reshi resident of Yamberzalwari Harwan Sopore and Bashir Ahmad Mir son of Mohammad Subhan Mir resident of Harwan Tujjar Sopore under Survey numbers 2123/829 on estate Yamberzalwari Harwan Sopore and 157 on estate Harwan Tujjar Sopore. 

This action is connected to case FIR No. 28/2008 U/S 2/3 EMCO, 120B, 121 IPC and 7/24 Arms Act. The attachment was executed under the provisions of sections 82, 83 of CRPC, by a team of Sopore Police and Revenue officials, after receiving approval from competent authority.

This measure marks a significant step in the investigation into subversive activities in the area. It underscores J&K Police's commitment to countering threats to national security and ensuring peace and stability.
