Baramulla, March 13: A tragic road accident in Baramulla district claimed the life of a young biker, while his pillion rider sustained critical injuries in a road accident on Thursday afternoon near Chatloora-Watergam crossing.
Reports reaching Sachnews, the accident involved a motorcycle bearing registration number JK05F 1474, which met with an accident, leaving both the rider and the pillion gravely injured.
They were immediately rushed to nearby Hospital, where doctors declared bike rider dead on arrival.
The deceased has been identified as Farhad Khursheed, son of Khursheed Ahmad Bhat, and the injured has been identified as Furqan Mushtaq, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, both residents of Watergam, Baramulla.
The pillion rider, Furqan Mushtaq, was referred to GMC Baramulla in critical condition for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings.
