CM Omar Abdullah Walks to Worst-Hit Areas in Ramban, Says ‘No Stone Will Be Left Unturned’

Ramban, April 21: In the wake of the recent flash floods and landslides that have caused widespread devastation in the Ramban district, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday reached Maroog, one of the worst-affected areas in Ramban district, to assess the ground situation and oversee relief efforts.

With the Banihal stretch of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway cleared, the Chief Minister travelled by road and continued on foot to reach the most severely impacted locations. The visit was aimed at reviewing the extent of damage and ensuring swift delivery of aid and rehabilitation measures.


Expressing deep concern over the situation, CM Omar Abdullah as per Sachnews said,

“The scale of destruction is deeply distressing. Our administration is on the ground, working tirelessly to ensure the safety, relief, and rehabilitation of every affected family. We will leave no stone unturned in standing by our people during this difficult time.” 


 

The Chief Minister interacted with local residents and officials, reiterating the government’s commitment to a coordinated response involving immediate relief, restoration of essential services, and long-term rehabilitation plans.
