Budgam, April 19: In a continued crackdown against the drug menace, Police in Budgam have arrested a drug peddler in Budgam and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A Police party of Police Station Budgam at a checkpoint established at Karipora Crossing near Railway Station Budgam, intercepted a suspicious person identified as Sajad Rafiq Bhat son of Rafiq Ahmad Bhat resident of Muqdam Mohallah Sheikpora Budgam. During search, Heroin-like substance weighing about 9.9 grams was recovered from his possession. Subsequently, he was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 83/2025 under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation has been initiated.
