Sachnews Jammu Kashmir
Kulgam, April 23: Gunshots were reported on Wednesday during a search operation in the Tangmarg area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district.
Reports reaching Sachnews Jammu Kashmir, that the operation was launched by security forces following specific intelligence inputs in Tangmarg area of Kulgam. While the exact circumstances surrounding the gunfire are still being verified, reports said that a cordon and search operation (CASO) is underway in the area.
Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the gunfire was an exchange with militants or warning shots fired during the operation. Additional forces have rushed to the site, and the area has been sealed off.
