Srinagar, April 20: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, expressed his profound sorrow over the devastating cloudburst that struck Ramban district, leading to loss of life and property.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, he called for immediate action from the authorities to ensure swift rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts for those displaced by the natural disaster. He urged the people living in vulnerable areas to remain vigilant and adhere to safety guidelines.
"Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life and property caused by the cloudburst in Ramban. Hope authorities ensure swift rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts for the hundreds displaced .People in vulnerable areas should stay alert and follow safety guidelines. My thoughts and prayers with the affected families .May Allah protect all and grant strength to the bereaved. Aameen," Mirwaiz wrote on X.
