No Rain Expected in J&K Till April 17; Farmers Can Continue Work, Fresh Precipitation Expected from April 18, Says MeT

Srinagar, April 13:

The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a comprehensive weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, indicating generally dry conditions until April 17, followed by a fresh spell of precipitation.

According to the forecast:

  • April 13–17: Weather will remain generally dry. 

  • April 18–20: Fresh spells of light to moderate Rain/Snow (higher reaches) at many places accompained with thunder/gusty winds from 18th evening onwards.

  • April 21: Generally cloudy with possibility of Light Rain/Thunder at scattered places.

  • April 22–24: The weather is likely to remain generally dry again.

 Advisory:

  • Farmers are advised to continue ongoing agricultural activities up to April 17, taking advantage of the dry weather.

  • Travelers, tourists, and transporters are urged to follow official advisories issued by local administration and traffic authorities.
