Srinagar, April 18: The Meteorological Department (MeT) has issued a weather advisory for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting a spell of rain, snowfall in higher reaches, and thunderstorms across various parts of the J&K till April 21.
According to the MeT Centre Srinagar, the region is likely to experience generally cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and snow (in higher altitudes) at most places from April 18 to April 20. There is also a possibility of moderate to heavy precipitation in isolated to scattered locations, particularly on April 18 and 19, accompanied by thunder and gusty winds.
Farmers have also been urged to suspend all farm operations during the forecast period due to weather disruptions that may impact agricultural activities.
The department further stated that April 21 is expected to remain generally cloudy with chances of light rain or thunder at scattered places, while the weather from April 22 to April 28 is likely to remain mostly dry.
