Srinagar, April 16: A group of students were safely rescued from the middle of Dal Lake today after strong gusty winds hit Srinagar.
The students, who were traveling home in a Shikara, found themselves stranded on the lake as the weather conditions rapidly worsened.
Officials told Sachnews Jammu Kashmir, that a group of students were safely rescued by the SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) Quick Response Team (QRT) after they found themselves stranded in the middle of Dal Lake following a sudden gust of strong winds.
The incident occurred around 3:15 PM when the students, traveling in a Shikara on the lake, were caught off guard by the unexpected weather conditions. The SDRF QRT responded promptly, reaching the scene and ensuring the safe retrieval of the students, officials said.
